1 replyTo be really honest, at least from what you get in the demo? It doesn’t seem too hard. Maybe a bit of ME3 training would help some.

1 replyHa, the idiot should have just stayed home that day! Best weapon I’ve noticed so far? A truck. Nothing beats two tons of steel wrecking ball of re-death.

1 replyMorning Farron! I’m up late doing financial aid work, and thinking on getting a graphics card. Sorta excited for that. Also tried the State of Decay trial, and also quite pleased with it. Been following it since it was still Class 3, so it’s good to see it getting its sunlight. I hope it sells well.
As for what I have to do today? Go to sleep, which I’m procrastinating away. Then work at 2. Hope my roommates go and buy me some blinds, my room has been very… Open. I dislike the lack of privacy now.

1 replyThis year is quite the turnaround for us in the Midwest US as well. Last year, it was hot, muggy, and nary a drop of rain in sight. They predicted drought forecasts that would go through 2014 in some places. This year, a deluge has been trying to drown out many river cities, including my own. The second big flood in 5 years.

I’ve seen reports from Rock Paper Shotgun and the like that Haswell isn’t as big a leap for desktops as for mobile processing, but for 1st gen, if you’re a constant adopter, that may be getting a bit long in the tooth. I’d say wait until gen 5, but then again I’m happy with my AMD dual core. XD

You know, you’d think that with the console manufacturers siding with AMD the past two generations would have them more able to iron out kinks in the software side on PC, for drivers and such. Sort of a sad state, I suppose.
Funnily enough, I didn’t even notice that the higher card on my list was also a refurb. That puts a bit more into my thoughts, but I’m still liking the idea of double the interface. Hell, I think my old card only had a 64-bit, it was sorta ancient.

Hmmm…

Probably see if any of the early access games go on, so I’d get ahold of Kerbal Space Program if I could. Then maybe Knights of the Old Republic 2, to have ’em both on Steam.

2 repliesMorning, Polynauts across the sea! I’m going to be heading to bed soon, so I haven’t much time. So, good to see you all again, and who else loves the crap out of State of Decay? I’m so glad that Undead Labs was uncompromising about what they were going to make. Hasn’t changed a bit from what I heard for their Class 3 pitch, aside from multiplayer. And I love it.

2 repliesSome of us still have smaller-scale businesses that sell games. My town has the Video Games Etc. franchise, and there’s an independent game store just south of me in Iowa City. I doubt Microsoft would even give them the time of day to license them, and yet I’d rather keep my business at those places. Not counting the countless board and tabletop game shops around that have been diversifying.
