1 replyMorning Polynauts!
Finally a slower day at work, maybe today I can chat a bit with you fine folk!
What’s everyone been up to, other than XB-1ing? I?ve been swamped with work and some other stuff, and got back into Gravity Rush after a car trip last week that got me playing again. I’m on chapter 17 I think…
Next up will be my return to Ni No Kuni and then probably Golden Abyss or some other shorter game on the PS3.
What about you guys/gals? What’s been going on in your life?
Cheers!

The silhouette on the top right corner reminds me of the Destiny characters… what do you think?

I agree with that, but isn’t there a difference between games that require a persistent internet connection or a console that phones home daily?
I know these intervals are subject to change, but for the sake of the argument: I know I must have an active internet connection to play a MMO, or SimCity, or Destiny, or watching Netflix, or whatever.
But unless we’re assuming every single game will be a connected, online game, I see no reason why I can’t play a single player, offline game for weeks after weeks without connecting my console to the internet, in my opinion, at least ..

Yeah, me too.
Yesterday, however, got me worried about some strategic decisions that could impact my enjoyment of the XB1 if get one (the same issues that are up in the air regrading the PS4, which doesn’t bring much comfort), but even though I think that those issues contributed to a bad first impression, I’m excited for E3.
June 10th’s so far away… National holiday+ Muse concert+ E3 :p

1 reply Recommended (2)It makes sense to me, for what it’s worth.
It’s how I feel about hardware launches: the possibilities, the unknown, what new games will appear, what surprises (good and bad) will we have….
And even though (due to past experiences) I’m more inclined toward two hardware manufacturers rather than the third, it doesn’t kill this excitement.

So we’ll call it the XB-1?

So, any validation regarding the “must connect to the internet at least once every 24h”? Given where the news came from, I’d feel more comfortable with some extra information… sigh.

I read somewhere (Kotaku, I think?) that they’ll develop some sort of digital game trading system…. but so far, no clear info on that…

Conferece-wise, for me, Sony got the better hand.

I’m just annoyed I have a medical appointment in half an hour and physical therapy after that :(

I’m kinda hyped for this game, even though we know next to nothing. “Multiplayer action game” can be anything from a tactical squad game to a monster hunter type game… But I really liked Panopticon better as a title.

Right on time for me to get home after a Muse concert :p (but yeah, it sucks that it’s so late for us)

1 replyWhat the? So, Nipah is trying to get away from Sony, but MS pushes him back? :p
Also, Paddy, how was the interview yesterday?
As for the XB1… sighs. Let’s wait for E3.
