I agree with just about everything this article has stated. But the problem is, even if you nix kinect and drop the price $100, Microsoft still backed themselves into a corner with devoting resources to the kinect and having a less powerful system on top of it. Sure, they can allocate less resources to the kinect like they’re planning, but that won’t necessarily fix everything. The PS4 still has faster ram and doesn’t have three operating systems chugging away along with the beefier graphics card. There will most likely continue to be a gap in performance along the life of these consoles that now can’t be fixed because you can’t just boost specs down the line on a console. That’s not even counting the bad blood Microsoft caused with their PR nightmare. Gamers won’t just forget that over night. But a kinect-less One at $100 cheaper will be a step in the right decision. I feel it’s a lot better than ditching the Blu-Ray drive on the next cheaper model. I don’t want to have to go all digital just to save $100 on what feels to me like an overpriced, rushed console.
I found the DLC short but extremely worth it just to spend that much more time in the Last of Us story. And all those feels, it was told beautifully. Well worth the $15.
Still haven’t gotten over that. lol. Made this become a news source only for me, never a review source.
I don’t know if you actually played the game and the DLC or are just basing your opinion off of these pics, but in game, the character models are done pretty amazingly. I kept scrolling the camera around to Ellie during Left Behind and finding myself utterly impressed with what they’ve accomplished. They knocked it out the park.
