It does make you faster but only slightly.
It is all about input lag.(time from button press to action ingame) With 60fps the game has more input lag because the action is converted to motion in 1/60th of a second. with 120fps its 1/120th of a second. With 30 fps it’s even worse.
The smoother curve of animation is a benefit to your eyes but not on performance.
120fps is the same as the 1000hz report rate on usbmouse/keyboard. It’s all about input lag which is very important if you want to win. Just like you don’t want to be on a wireless connection but on a wired one. High ping vs low ping.
No, If the experience is good enough to warrant the purchase price many will buy it.
How else would you explain the mass adoption of iPhones, they are premium smartphones with a high price. Still they have a very big market share.
The biggest challenge is games, because their kickstarter proved that there is a very big market that is interested.
If there are no games for it nobody would buy it because they can’t use it.
It was the same thing with the first kinect, that needed dance central to be any good. It also goes for the Razer Hydra, nice product, worked very well with portal but it failed as a commercial product because there wasn’t any content.
I think the dev/game has done quite well already. You don’t see a lot of indie games pull these amounts of player numbers.
What helps is that there was a decent amount of hype on twitch/youtube before launch already.
I’ve hit that same point, where you need the better cards to get a decent winrate.
On the upside, by playing the other decks you learn the nice card combo’s that each deck/character has. Also I started recognizing cards already :P And that after only 20 hours playtime ( and the same amount on liquidhearth, really that site helped me so much to understand what was going on in the game)
I haven’t decided on which hero I want to go further with, I like priest / mage / warlock and druid equally well.
Also the extra stars for win streak are really annoying, they catapult you really quickly out of the easy wins :( :P
