Yes it is possible to infringe on someone’s copyright and trademark. But if you’re talking about the King case, that was only a trademark issue, not a copyright one. :-)
Trademark disputes are about branding, not content. Content falls under copyright law. The two are often conflated, but they’re actually quite different.
