I know Farsight is having tons of issues trying to release more DLC on the 360 for the Pinball Arcade because they can’t self-publish. Their publisher went bankrupt and the 360 distribution rights is being held up in bankruptcy court. If they could self publish, they would not be in their current mess and wouldn’t be getting over 20 gamer nerd rants per day on their facebook page.

I love sports and fantasy football. The fantasy football overlay while watching a game seems kind of cool. But I really have tons of other outlets for that stuff. The only thing that might sway me to the new xbox is if they land a multiyear exclusivity contract for NFL’s Sunday Ticket.

Deathstroke? That is a terrible villain name. Sounds like an old man on Lipitor whose special powers are slurred speech and hemiparalysis.

I have had the ps+ subscription since the start of the instant games collection. I think the only game I have played to completion is Infamous 2 and the only current game in the collection that I might complete is The Cave. They definitely hooked me with Infamous 2 but most of the content consists of RPGs and fighting games, and random indie games I have no interest in. I am sure I will not re-up when my subscription when it ends. I don’t get any value out of it.

Ace Patrol has a lot of depth for an IOS turn based strategy game but it is not apparent until you spend a little time with the game. The UI is intuitive and not overly complicated. My only gripes are the lack of a more in depth game manual and the IAP that allows you get your pilots and planes back in the action immediately. The latter gripe gives players who are willing to pay a huge advantage over those who don’t. But overall a fun game.

Eclipse: New Dawn for the Galaxy is an excellent strategy game that was just released.

The pinball fx2 platform itself is a free download. All the tables are dlc. In other words, you won’t have to buy a “base” game that already includes tables that you may or may not want. You can just buy the pinball fx2 platform and buy only the tables or table packs that you want. I haven’t heard whether or not they will be offering a free table like they did with the windows 8 xbox games marketplace (whatever it is called) which included Mars.

If you like pinball, then yes. Zen Pinball and the Pinball Arcade are the iOS apps that I play the most. I easily get 5-10 hours per table when they first release and then return to them every once in awhile after that. If you don’t like pinball, then I suppose paying $1-2 per table might be a lot considering Zen pinball has around 15 tables and they keep releasing more. So paying around $25 for all the tables in 1 app might be expensive for some. I got the app when it first released with 3 or 4 tables. Then paying a buck or two every few months for new tables is no big deal.

I like the foam that is created when the water is churning. It is nowhere near perfect but better than anything I have seen in video games and greatly adds to the realism of the effect.

This video kind of reminds of Conan O’Brien’s game reviews. It’s funny, but kind of sad because you guys actually do this for a living. Good for a chuckle, though I have no idea what the game is about.
