If I recall Beren stole a Silmaril from morgoth
Pray tell, what do you define as the FF formula?
You weren’t required to do anything MMOish if you didn’t want to. You could very easily hew closely to the story and ignore everything else.
Frankly the world of FF12 outside cities resembled the open nature of Gran Pulse of FF13 that everybody praised…
I don’t understand the general dislike for FF12. It is the best fully 3D final fantasy title. The voice acting and characters were mostly solid (likeable and had decent motivations), it had an open world and still looks really good (on pcsx2).
The main story wasn’t that outlandish but suited the world really well. So what did people dislike about FF12?
That, and the fact that if they did make it accurate, the game would be mostly empty and most missions would take days to complete.
Does GTAIV still need to have GFWL hacked out in order to work?
The vehicles moved like tanks in Watch Dogs. There are plenty of other games that have much better vehicle handling.
Either way there were other (more significant) things wrong with Watch Dogs…
Maybe, though even the original game still looks damned good on pcsx2.
Zak Penn has also written some pretty crappy screenplays in the last few years (examples include Elektra and Xmen 3)
your cpu may be bottlenecking it somewhat. Core2 is pretty old…
But just about everyone could see CDs were the future. PC games were already being released on CDs to great effect. The cartridges just crippled the otherwise superior N64 Hardware.
