Getting used to the delayed jump and GOW reloading faster than expected. Of course I’d prefer they WEREN’T part of the game, but making do.
The most annoying thing is easily the INSTA-respawning enemies. You can’t backtrack an inch without them being right back in your face.
I think I’ll be keeping this as a co-op only game. Had quite a bit of fun playing with a buddy (using the PS4’s party chat, since the game doesn’t seem to have native voice chat), but when he signed off for the night, it started to get super frustrating going solo.
Maybe it’ll be PSNow’able by then… Mostly, I just don’t wanna go back to the DualShock 3 for a shooter.
I would pick this up IN ADDITION to The Show, but not for $20.
Man, I LOVE ‘Ken Griffey Jr’s Winning Run’ on SNES, and ‘All-Star Baseball’ 99-01 on the N64. I don’t remember if All-Star made a good transfer to PS2 or not… PS2 was all about High Heat and then MVP. (I didn’t jump into The Show until PS3.)
It looks like he just oiled the sh*t out of it!
I understand your understated understatement.
Are you sure about that? If true, you’d think Sony (and Microsoft) would of pumped out an NFL game at some point…
Maybe someday, when the NFL pulls their head out of their arse, they can take a crack at a football game. We can dream!
It’s gonna be a long 29 days…
Watch em snag Stig Asmussen and Amy Hennig next…
And Jack Tretton as the new head honcho!
I think it’ll end up being easier than you think. As a simple example, if a boss enemy makes a loud entrance, you’ll hear the direction it’s coming from, and naturally spin around and look in that direction to see “what the heck is going on over there”. Or just use lighting to highlight the important stuff.
Similarly, if a player decides NOT to look, then move said boss (instead of the player). Have the boss get up in the player’s face, “Do I bore you? Am I not worthy of your precious attention?!” Game devs are gonna have to study human nature and psychology more than ever!
I think the only time you could force control of the camera, is if the enemy hits you and knocks you back. But even then, you can’t take away control of head rotation and basic looking around… You would just be force moving the avatar body.
