League of Legends is quickly growing to be one of the most played games in the world, boasting more than 70 million registered Summoner names, more than 32 million active players, and approximately 12 million daily players.
The multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game averages three million concurrent players and logs more than a billion hours of play every month, which Riot Games claims makes it the most played video game in the world.
Riot Games also released additional information about the game, such as its player base. According to Riot's data, more than 90 percent of League of Legends players are male, approximately 85 percent of players are between the ages of 16 and 30, and 60 percent are enrolled in or have completed college.
The game also logs 6.5 million deaths a day, which equates to 75 character deaths per second.
Not bad for a game that launched only two years ago.
