Sonic Jump sends Sonic the Hedgehog vertical on iOS on October 18th

Sega will release Sonic Jump for iOS devices on Thursday, October 18th, a vertically-platforming change of pace for Sonic the Hedgehog.

The iOS game, coming to iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, appears to be an update remake of the original Sonic Jump, a mobile phone game developed by Airplay and released by Glu Mobile in 2007. While Sonic Jump may appear similar to popular mobile game Doodle Jump, the original was not an endless vertical platformer; it had endings to stages much like traditional Sonic the Hedgehog games.

Sonic Jump will cost $1.99, £1.49, or €1.59, depending on your choice of currency.
