Tetsuya Mizuguchi appointed project professor at Keio University, will continue to produce games

Mizuguchi still producing games

The developer behinds games like Rez, Lumines, and Child of Eden, Tetsuya Mizuguchi, has signed on as project professor of the Graduate School of Media Design at Keio University, the university announced today.

The developer, who is best known for co-founding Q Entertainment in 2003 with Shuji Utsumi, is also a producer of music group Genki Rockets and is a lyricist and a visual artist. Last month Q Entertainment announced that Mizuguchi was no longer working directly in games production at the studio and was instead focusing on academic work since the 2011 release of Child of Eden.

Mizuguchi will produce games and "expand his expertise in the field of media design and innovative content product" in his new role, a university spokesperson said.
