The latest trailer for Assassin's Creed 3, released today by Ubisoft and currently only available for U.K. viewers, goes in depth about the fate of protagonist Desmond.
The spoiler-riddled trailer, which is narrated by Desmond's father, offers an overview of the events beginning with his abduction by the Abstergo Industries, which he says was part of an attempt to locate an artifact called The Apple. As seen in Assassin's Creed 2, The Apple was a piece of ancient technology known as Pieces of Eden.
Desmond's father also suggests he too has been inside the animus, stating "I have seen the truth. That is the beauty and the horror of the animus."
The video forms part of the puzzle of the Assassin's Creed Hacked History webgame available online.
Assassin's Creed 3 is scheduled to release on Oct. 30 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, followed by a PC release on Nov. 23 and Wii U release on Nov. 18.
