Quest for Glory developers Corey and Lori Cole's Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption, the "old school" turn-based role-playing project the duo announced last month, is now live on Kickstarter.
The game's page describes it as a combination of "classic RPG skills and combat with the rich character relationships of Persona," with puzzles similar to those found in Quest for Glory integrated into the story. The game is being developed on the Unity engine and will use the tile graphic system used in programmer Andrew Goulding's MacGuffin's Curse.
Kickstarter rewards range from digital copies of the full game to artbooks, soundtracks, and early access to beta for Hero-U's combat system. Five backers who pledge $10,000 or more will have the opportunity to spend a day with the Coles in California, as well as a slew of other physical goodies available to lower reward tiers.
Hero-U, targeted for a fall 2013 release, is being developed for Windows and Mac computers, though the team expresses that they wish to bring the game to more devices later on.
