Ghost Recon: Future Soldier getting new maps, mode, more in Khyber Strike DLC

The upcoming "Khyber Strike" add-on for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will be available to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 players on Oct. 9 for 800 Microsoft Points and $9.99, respectively, publisher Ubisoft announced today.

PC users will get the DLC "at a later date," according to Ubisoft.

Khyber Strike includes three new multiplayer maps — Switchback, Palace, and Transit — and one additional map, Village, for the co-op Guerrilla Mode. A new mode, Takeover, is also available: it's a variant on standard team deathmatch, with one team receiving a score multiplier if it's holding the enemy objective. Extra Achievements/Trophies and a ten-level boost to the multiplayer level cap round out the package.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier originally launched on May 22; read our review here. Khyber Strike will be the game's third piece of add-on content.
