Ubisoft ships European copies of Rocksmith without activation codes

Customers who did not get a code with their game will have to submit a claim to Ubisoft via their online support

Several customers who purchased PC copies of Rocksmith in Europe have claimed that the game did not come with an activation code, reports Kotaku.

In response to complaints on the forums, Ubisoft posted a new entry on their support page.

"Some physical copies of the PC version of Rocksmith are encountering problems during installation," the post reads. "We apologize for the inconvience caused and will provide any affected customers with the ‘Guitarcade timesaver,' which gives players instant access to all the Rocksmith mini-games."

Customers who did not get a code with their game will have to submit a claim to Ubisoft via their online support. The form requires both the store details and a "clear digital image" of the buyer's receipt. According to Kotaku, codes are beginning to arrive to those who have filed claims.

Rocksmith for the PC released in Europe on Oct. 18.
