Ratchet and Clank art for their birthday

Insomniac Games revealed a poster series today that it is releasing to mark the 10th anniversary of Ratchet and Clank.

The company announced that it is collaborating with artists and the video game art collective iam8bit to create limited edition screen-print posters of the much-loved Lombax and his robot companion.

The first poster, revealed today (pictured), is designed by British artist Aled Lewis, who has worked with iam8bit, Threadless, TeeFury and Mondo.

Lewis said of his poster design: "Whenever we see Ratchet and Clank they are usually in the thick of the action or poised for adventure, so I thought it would be nice to see our heroes in a much lower gear; reflecting on their achievements over the last 10 years. There didn't seem a more appropriate way to explore this than by showing a cross-section of the weapons and the gadgets that have defined the franchise and brought so much pleasure to fans of the game.

"There's no way I could feature everyone's favorite guns, but I tried to pick a bunch that represent each game and celebrate the variety and invention in the gameplay. I hope R&C fans get a kick out of the little details I've added!"

Each poster will receive a single print run only and will be available from the iam8bit store at 9 a.m. PT on Oct. 24. Priced at $60 each, there will only be 300 prints available. Those interested can subscribe to the iam8bit newsletter for announcements. Lewis' poster can be viewed in full over at the PlayStation Blog.
