ArenaNet's Guild Wars 2 is getting a massive update to it's Structured Player vs. Player mode that will bring with it a slew of new features. Ahead of the big update, the developer announced a few of the features that are coming to the game.
Among the features are qualifying points (QPs), which are gained in paid tournaments. Each person in a winning team in an eight-team paid tournament receives one qualifying point. These points determine rankings for larger tournaments. ArenaNet says that while many teams will be competing for prizes at tournaments, the QPs are what teams are really competing for.
Guild Wars 2's sPvP mode is also getting a new user interface, which comes with a new tournament board, an update to the quick-launch button and a scoreboard.
