Japanese music service Recochoku is coming to the 3DS in Japan this December, Nintendo officials announced during their Nintendo Direct stream this morning.

Recochoku (short for "Record-Chokusetsu") is a service in Japan used for buying popular music, similar to iTunes. Users must be a member of Club Recochoku in order to make song purchases.

The existing service is home to more than one million songs and also supports downloads for smartphones and PC.
