NHL 13 update duplicates players for the European leagues

EA Sports released an update this week for NHL 13 that adds a duplicate version of NHL players from European leagues to their current team.

The following leagues will have their players duplicated into their current teams: Czech Extraliga (ELH), SM-Liiga, Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL), Elitserien (SEL) and National League A (NLA). This means a player like Claude Giroux, who plays for the Philadelphia Flyers in North America, will also be available on the European Eisbaren Berlin (DEL) roster.

EA Sports said on its website that by adding NHL players who have joined European leagues to their respective team rosters, the company is "able to create an authentic experience for fans of those leagues and the NHL, worldwide."

Users who play offline can manually move NHL players to their current European teams.
