The second public auction for the remaining assets of defunct Rhode Island developer 38 Studios, held earlier this week at the company's shuttered R.I. office, brought in approximately $650,000, the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation told Joystiq.
The court-appointed auction organizer also told Joystiq that the intellectual property for Kingdoms of Amalur: The Reckoning will be sold through a negotiated transaction over the next three to six months.
38 Studios owed an estimated $150.7 million when it filed for bankruptcy earlier this summer. The first auction of the company's assets, held in Maryland on Oct. 16, brought in $180,000.
