The portable Castlevania from Mercurysteam, developer of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, promises "intense whip combat" and "extreme platforming" as players explore Dracula's castle on the Nintendo 3DS.
A new trailer released for Halloween — almost an obligation for a Castlevania game — shows an improved-looking Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate featuring the Belmont brothers doing battle against Dracula's minions, whipping to and from platforms and working out some family issues.
Mirror of Fate is bound for Nintendo 3DS in early 2013, Konami says. The portable Castlevania, which takes place 24 years after the original Lords of Shadow, serves as a precursor to Mercurysteam's Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
