Hunters: Episode One now available on Android

Samit Sarkar (he/him) is Polygon’s deputy managing editor. He has more than 15 years of experience covering video games, movies, television, and technology.

The developers of Hunters: Episode One, an iOS turn-based strategy title, are marking the milestone of "nearly 1,000,000 downloads" by releasing the game on Android.

Hunters originally launched on iOS in early 2011, and has become one of the most well-regarded strategy games on the platform since then. In Hunters, you play as the captain of a spaceship of mercenary bounty hunters in 2981. By completing contracts for shadowy corporations, you move up in the rankings of the universe's trusted killers.

Rodeo Games, the four-person UK-based team behind Hunters, released a follow-up, Hunters 2, shortly after the original game. There's no word yet on when or if the second episode will be released on Android.

Hunters: Episode One is available on Google Play for $4.79. Check out the Android launch trailer above.
