DmC: Devil May Cry's first piece of downloadable content, Vergil's Downfall, will let players control protagonist Dante's morally ambiguous brother when it hits XBL and PSN "shortly after launch," according to a Capcom press release.
The content puts players directly behind the reins of Vergil, who dispatches enemies with lightning-fast katana strikes and shadowy clones who help him assault his targets. It also introduces a new story chapter for Vergil to slash his way through, complete with new items, enemies and locations.
The content will cost $8.99 on PSN and 720 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live Marketplace when it launches, and does not have a release date any firmer than "shortly after launch." North American players who pre-order the title through GameStop or EB Games Canada will receive the content for no additional charge. DmC: Devil May Cry launches on 360 and PS3 on Jan. 15, 2013, and will come to PC "shortly after."
