Gamers on a handful of forums are complaining that when they went to install Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on their computer this morning the second disc was identified as a Mass Effect 2 disc.
It's unclear how widespread the issue is, but this morning it appears to be relatively isolated. We've reached out to Activision for comment and will update this story when they respond.
The issue started popping up shortly after this morning's midnight launch of the game with players complaining on Reddit, Steam and the official websites for Black Ops 2 and Mass Effect. One user even posted a video showing the error he was receiving.
If legitimate, the error was likely caused by a printing error at a manufacturing plant.
Since Black Ops 2 uses Steam, players who run into the issue should be able to use the serial number from the box to download and install the game without that second disc.
