Gearbox announces Borderlands 2 DLC, Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage

Borderlands 2 developer Gearbox Software announced Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage, the game's second downloadable expansion, on Twitter today.

The titular character appears to be a bad-ass dude who's equally comfortable behind a keyboard — he "hacked" his way into the @ECHOcasts Twitter account, which formerly belonged to the downloadable Mechromancer Gaige — and a shiny chrome chopper, as seen in the image below. Mr. Torgue seems concerned primarily with raising hell and making sure Borderlands 2 players are ready to, as he put it, "BLOW SOME SH*T UP."

Gearbox has provided no additional details on Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage, although the announcement confirms a leak from last month in which extra PlayStation 3 Trophies for Borderlands 2 hinted at the DLC. At the very least, we know from the Trophies that players will be able to collect photos of Mad Moxxi, a character who was featured in her own downloadable expansion to the original Borderlands.

Check out a brief trailer on Mr. Torgue's penchant for explosive weapons above, and the first screenshot of Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage below. The expansion is included in the Borderlands 2 season pass.
