A patch for the PlayStation 3 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is now available, offering a fix for users who experienced system lock-ups while playing the game on the console, Activision announced.
This follows reports of numerous PS3 users finding issues with redeeming pre-order DLC codes, connecting to online matches and playing the title without it crashing.
Last week design director David Vonderhaar stated the Treyarch team were aware of a "significant freeze" affecting PS3 users. Many players reported problems such as a persistent "waiting to balance teams" when waiting to get into multiplayer games, as well as an addition error message stating "an error occurred while trying to find a session." The latter issue was solved following investigations with Sony and the deployment of back-end matchmaking changes.
The new patch will install automatically when users sign in to play online in Black Ops 2.
