Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition gameplay conjured to promote next week's release

The updated and expanded version of classic BioWare role-playing game Baldur's Gate is expected to be released next week on Nov. 28. In an effort to whip Baldur's Gate fans into a nostalgia-driven frenzy, developer Beamdog has released new gameplay footage of the game's "Enhanced Edition."

Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition will add three new playable characters: Dorn II-Khan, the half-orc Blackguard; the monk Rasaad yn Bashir; and Neera, a half-elf wild mage. Rasaad and Neera come with their own playable adventure that explores new areas.

The update to Baldur's Gate also boasts an updated interface, cross-platform multiplayer and gameplay features from Baldur's Gate 2.

Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition is bound for Windows, Mac and iOS platforms later this month. An Android version is also in the works.
