Arcane Legends, the latest in a series of action-based massively multiplayer online role-playing games for mobile platforms from developer Spacetime Studios, launched today on the iOS App Store.
The game, a spiritual sequel to Spacetime's Pocket Legends, lets players control one of three classic RPG archetypes in a top-down quest for levels and loot. Players choose between the Warrior, Mage or Rogue classes, each of which is customizable with a branching skill tree, and then set out to complete quests or tear through monster-infested areas with their fellow players. Players can also collect and customize a whole menagerie of pets to aid them in battle; another new addition over the series' past installments.
Arcane Legends launched two weeks ago on Android platforms and, according to a press release from the game's developer, has been downloaded over two million times on said platforms. If you're interested in joining the masses, it's free to download on iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.
