World of Warships developer Wargaming.net released the game's first screenshots today, showing off the multinational ships available in the upcoming free-to-play naval MMO.
Players will have a variety of vessels at their disposal, including battleships, heavy cruisers, destroyers and aircraft carriers. The ships' important characteristics — firepower, speed, armor and endurance — will affect their usefulness in battle situations, so maintaining a versatile fleet will be vital to success. Ever-changing weather conditions may turn the tide of battle, depending on the location: Players will be fighting on the high seas around the world.
Wargaming.net is also promising that it will eventually unite its land, air and sea war games — World of Tanks, World of Warplanes and World of Warships — in one universe ;that allows players to transfer resources across all three titles and duke it out on a "single global map."
World of Warships is set for release on PC in 2013.
