Gaming café in Middleton, Wis. offers food and retail in one

Members can check out or play titles in-store from a 325-game library

Traveler's Hearth Café and Games, a new establishment opened by father-and-son duo Jim and Tim Mirkes, offers a full restaurant and gaming retail in one, reports 77 Square.

Members can check out or play titles in-store from a 325-game library; Traveler's Hearth also sells board games, card games and role-playing games. The venue encourages guests to come and "have a coffee, and spend the afternoon if you like," Tim Mirkes said.

"It's kind of a try-before-you-buy kind of thing," Mirkes said. "There is no requirement to purchase."

Customers are also allowed to bring their own games in to play. The restaurant-and-retailer also hosts gaming events each week.
