Far Cry 3 Insanity Mirror app gives you a vision of your unhinged self

The free Far Cry 3 Insanity Mirror app, available on iOS today in the U.K., lets you see what you might look and sound like if you were trapped on an island and started to come unhinged.

As seen in the trailer above, the app only needs to take a photo of your face and record a few seconds of audio before it presents you with a wild, demonic version of your visage and voice. We're not sure when that knowledge would ever come in handy, but you never know, right?

The Insanity Mirror app is currently unavailable outside the U.K.; we've reached out to Ubisoft to ask if it's coming stateside.

Far Cry 3 launches Dec. 4 on Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Update: A Ubisoft representative told Polygon that the Insanity Mirror app will remain exclusive to the U.K., and said that an Android version will be released there soon.
