iOS game based on the art of Roger Dean on its way

Internationally recognized artist Roger Dean – best known in the game world as the artist responsible for some of Psygnosis Games' most memorable box art – is at the center of a new iOS game that pays homage to his work.

Developed by Appshen, a subsidiary of digital apps distributor Moshen, Roger Dean Dragon's Dream is a side-scrolling "endless runner" game for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad that allows players to explore Dean's landscapes.

Appshen says in the game's description on YouTube that Dean worked closely with the app's developers to "perfect the unique visionary panoramas which are Dean's signature trademark." Players can unlock additional landscapes created by Dean and, playing as a flying dragon, fly through the colorful and dream-like worlds that Dean is best known for.

Appshen says that the app is currently available although it does not appear in iTunes searches at the time of writing. It is expected to release soon.
