Xbox Live Rewards members can earn Microsoft Points by purchasing Halo 4-related content on the Marketplace and by racking up hours in Halo 4's multiplayer, according to the Xbox Rewards website.
Rewards members who clock in over 140 hours in the game's multiplayer will receive 600 Microsoft Points, with 300 Microsoft Points earned by playing over 70 hours of multiplayer and 100 Microsoft Points earned in turn for over 35 hours worth of play.
Alternatively, spending over 3000 Microsoft Points on Halo 4 content on the Xbox Live Marketplace will earn users 200 points back, while Rewards members will receive 100 Points back for spending over 1500 Microsoft Points on content. 800 Microsoft Points will be returned if the player both spends over 3000 Points and plays 35 hours of Halo 4 multiplayer.
The Halo 4 "Combat Tour" offer runs until Nov. 30.
