Wii U instruction manual offers detailed diagrams of GamePad, Pro Controller and more

Nintendo's next-generation console supports three controllers from day one: the included Wii U GamePad, the Wii U Pro Controller and the Wii Remote Plus. The Wii U instruction manual offers detailed diagrams of the myriad buttons, sticks, ports and wireless functions of each for players who may wonder what all those inputs and outputs are there for.

The Wii U instruction manual also offers a handy explanation of the various ports and inputs of the console itself, showing easier access to the system's sync button, USB slots and SD card slot.

The controller diagrams highlight the differences between the Wii U GamePad and Pro Controller. While core button inputs are similar, the Wii U Pro Controller does not include a microphone or audio jack. And while the Pro Controller can charge its battery via USB, the GamePad uses an AC adapter port and cradle connectors to charge the device. The GamePad also features an "accessory connector" for connecting external accessories to the device.
