The fall 2012 Xbox Live dashboard update officially increased the Xbox 360's flash drive storage space from 16 GB to 32 GB, Microsoft confirmed to Joystiq today.
"The more our customers use their profile and download digital content, the larger the file size necessary to store that content and move it between consoles gets," a representative for Xbox told Joystiq. "Therefore we increased the size of the memory to enable our customers to take more of their Xbox profile with them on the go."
The fall 2012 Xbox Live update, which hit on Oct. 15, also added Internet Explorer for Xbox Live Gold members, tweaked the user interface and added recommendations to the dashboard based on users' gaming habits.
