Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed Wii U trailer shapes up gameplay

Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed will allow players to race, track weapons and map their progress using the GamePad, as demonstrated during a Wii U gameplay trailer.

The Sonic-themed racer is a sequel to Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing. Transformed allows players to morph their vehicles mid-race from car to plane to boat. The game will feature more than 20 characters and 25 tracks; Transformed also supports four-player split-screen and online play available for up to 10 players.

Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed is slated for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 on Nov. 18, followed by a Wii U and Nintendo 3DS release on Dec. 11.
