Hundreds, the next game from the people at SemiSecret Software (Canabalt, Aquaria) and aeiowu (Puzzlejuice, Gasketball) will be released for iOS on Jan. 3, 2013, according to the game's newly released teaser trailer.

An evolved remake of a Flash game of the same name, Hundreds is the work of Greg Wohlwend, Adam Saltsman and composer Scott Morgan. The goal in Hundreds, described by its creators as "a puzzle game about the space between you and the serene," is to inflate a series of bubbles on a playfield by tapping them, ensuring that they don't touch each other at the wrong moment. The iOS port of the game expands the simple, minimalist gameplay of the original by adding new elements, like spiked wheels and freezing bubbles.

We had a chance to play Hundreds at this year's IndieCade festival and offered our thoughts on the addictive iOS puzzle game here.

Hundreds will be released for iPhone and iPad.
