Borderlands 2 Sir Hammerlock DLC rumored to include new continent, raid boss and baddies

The next upcoming batch of downloadable content for Borderlands 2, Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt, is rumored to include customization items as well a new continent and raid boss for players to test their mettle against, according to a post on Reddit from a player who unearthed the pack's files.

Reddit user "MiketheInfidel" dug through the Borderlands 2 files on his PlayStation 3 and reportedly found the below information on the Sir Hammerlock DLC. The user also uncovered files for Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage prior to the DLC's release at the end of November.

According to "MiketheInfidel," the DLC update will include three new customization packs for each of Borderlands 2's five character classes, each pack containing one new head and skin, as well as a new fanboat vehicle with 68 skins of its own and a handful of weapon add-ons including corrosive, shock and incendiary mods.

The DLC will include 12 side missions and five longer ones connected to the main storyline, a new raid boss (a description of this boss reads, "Imagine, if you will, a Stalker the size of a small building. Now imagine yourself killing it"), more Seraph items, two new enemy types and a treasure dungeon that sets players' plundering on a time limit.

The add-on campaign includes the new continent of Aegrus, which presents players with a new swampy jungle environment to explore. The DLC also features "a self-important but not-so-well-known new enemy who is 'super-pumped we're archenemies now,' and who leads a tribe of jungle savages and has an evil plan that might actually work."

More information on the release date for Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt will be shared soon.
