The first six Mega Man games, Mega Man through Mega Man 6, will be released on the Nintendo 3DS eShop on a "staggered schedule" from this month into 2013, Capcom announced today.
All six games were originally released on the NES between 1987 and 1993.
Mega Man will launch on the eShop on Dec. 27. Its sequel, Mega Man 2 — perhaps the best-regarded game in the long-running franchise — will be available on Feb. 7. Mega Man 3, Mega Man 4, Mega Man 5 and Mega Man 6 will be released later next year.
The latest game in the series, Street Fighter X Mega Man, launched today on Windows PC.
