Angry Birds Star Wars is now playable on Facebook with additional functionality including competitive play, developer Rovio Entertainment announced today.

The Facebook version of the hit mobile game features three exclusive new power-ups — Blaster Droid, Saber Sling and Thermal Detonator — as well as a new ability, Clone Bird. It also offers cooperative and competitive play between players and their friends through leaderboards and in-game gifts.

Rovio will add five new levels to the Facebook game every week, and will hold weekly tournaments with in-game rewards as prizes.

Angry Birds Star Wars launched in November on iOS, Android, Kindle Fire, PC, Mac, Windows 8 and Windows Phone. Check out a trailer for the Facebook version above, and play the game yourself here.
