Ravaged studio 2 Dawn Games is launching a free downloadable add-on, the Apocalypse DLC Pack, today as the first-person shooter goes on sale for half price at $4.99 on Steam.

Apocalypse adds new content and features to Ravaged. A new map, Dust Bowl, tops the list, and the DLC pack also includes new vehicles and weapons. The studio also integrated voice chat, so players no longer need to use third-party software, and tweaked the in-game interface to make it easier for players to see their squads.

"This new DLC Pack is a gift from us to our community," said 2 Dawn Games founder Boris Ustaev in a press release announcing Apocalypse. It is the first of three planned downloadable add-ons for Ravaged, all of which will be free. The next two packs are set for release in January and February.

The Ravaged sale on Steam has not yet begun, but according to the studio, it will begin today and last through Jan. 4.
