The PlayStation Vita version of Team Ninja's Dead or Alive 5 will let players "touch, flick and pinch" to fight in first-person mode, according to new Dead of Alive 5 Plus gameplay details released by Tecmo Koei.
In an update on what makes Dead or Alive 5 Plus different from its console counterparts, Tecmo Koei explains Touch Play mode, which sees players hold the Vita in portrait mode and fight in first-person for a "full-screen view of your opponent at maximum size." Touch Play features two variations, one in which players tap their opponent to attack a particular spot and another that allows players to touch, flick and pinch the touchscreen for more finesse in combat.

Dead or Alive 5 Plus will also add a Training Plus mode that offers combat training in new challenging missions and, for serious fighting game fans, more detailed frame data. Team Ninja promises "unbelievably detailed information like delay interval frames, move reach and more."
The PlayStation Vita version of DOA 5 will be cross-platform compatible with the PlayStation 3 version, with costume data shareable between PS3 and Vita.
Dead or Alive 5 Plus will be released for PlayStation Vita on March 19, 2013.
