Blizzard has extended beta access for StarCraft 2's Heart of the Swarm expansion to add additional testers, the company announced today.

Players who pre-ordered Heart of the Swarm digitally through Battle.net prior to or on Dec. 18 now have access to the expansion's beta. Those who digitally pre-ordered after Dec.18 will be granted beta access in waves, with new rounds of testers added on a weekly basis.

Additional, select retailers are offering beta key codes with retail pre-orders. Blizzard confirms that online retail giant Amazon is participating in the promotion.

Players with beta access can download the client through Blizzard here.

Heart of the Swarm will officially launch on March 12.
