Microsoft's Xbox SmartGlass offerings will expand tomorrow with the release of The Dark Knight Rises on Xbox Video. The SmartGlass app promises exclusive content for touchscreen devices including time-synced information about the film.
According to an update from Microsoft spokesman Major Nelson, The Dark Knight Rises content for Xbox SmartGlass includes storyboards, quotes from the film's cast and crew, a "closer look at The Dark Knight Rises' vehicles, gadgets and characters" and a behind-the-scenes look at key moments from the film.
Xbox SmartGlass is currently available as a free download for certain iOS, Windows and Android mobile devices. The companion app features integration with Xbox 360 games like Dance Central 3 and Forza Horizon, as well as apps including HBO Go and ESPN.
The Dark Knight Rises will be released on Blu-ray and DVD and available from online sources including Amazon Instant Video, iTunes and Xbox Video on Dec. 4 in North America.
