Live through the apocalypse in Trials Evolution's Riders of Doom DLC

Samit Sarkar (he/him) is Polygon’s deputy managing editor. He has more than 15 years of experience covering video games, movies, television, and technology.

Trials Evolution players will be able to ride through the coming apocalypse in the game's upcoming Riders of Doom add-on, which will launch this month on Xbox Live Marketplace for 400 Microsoft Points ($5), publisher Ubisoft announced today.

The downloadable content pack contains 40 new levels in The Big Sand Lands, an environment inspired by the apocalypse. According to Ubisoft, the tracks will be built up and destroyed over the course of a play-through, as seen in the trailer below. The add-on will also include a new bike called the Banshee, along with 10 extra Skill Games, five new Supercross tracks, five new tournaments and hundreds of additional objects for the track editor.

Riders of Doom will be the second piece of Trials Evolution DLC; the first, Origin of Pain, launched in October.

Ubisoft did not provide a specific release date, but the press release announcing Riders of Doom said it will be "unleashed just before the world ends," so presumably it will be available before Dec. 21.
