A Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 title update that's currently in development will bring back Theater mode, according to developer Treyarch.
The studio disabled the mode, as well as the editor that lets users create their own emblems, a week ago after it "noticed a few 'level 10' guys ruining the party for everyone," in order to implement a fix for the exploit.
"Films currently remain offline and will be enabled again when the upcoming Game Update is released," reads an announcement on the game's official forums. According to game design director David Vonderhaar, the update will also include an increase in the number of points necessary to call in the UAV scorestreak. He added that the developers are "looking at" tweaking the penetration of bullets from submachine guns, which he said is "probably too high."
No timetable is yet available for the update.
