Double Fine's Kinect Party brings dubstep and Minecraft to casual gaming

Double Fine has released a trailer for its upcoming casual party game Kinect Party, the sequel to the studio's Kinect-driven Happy Action Theater that launched early this year.

Kinect Party, originally dubbed Double Fine Happy Action TV, features 18 new levels including stages that include dubstep, a Minecraft-styled world, and a level featuring lightning attacks that turn its players into in-game skeletons. Users who previously purchased the original Happy Action Theater will be able to play its 18 minigames from within Kinect Party as well.

Kinect Party allows up to six players to join in simultaneously, includes photo sharing, 20 different achievements, 36 channels and 75 costume pieces. Double Fine is looking to release the game by the end of the year, a representative told Polygon.
