A new online multiplayer event for Mass Effect 3 will take place this weekend, beginning today and running until Sunday, Dec. 9, according to a post on the BioWare Blog today.
"Operation: Onslaught" tasks players with helping to reclaim and rebuild munitions factories in areas running low on weapons. N7s will lead the charge, paving the way for troops to wrestle back control of these territories along several battlefronts.
BioWare states that the goal target for individual players is to use an assault rifle to rack up 75,000 points of damage. The goal condition can be completed on any multiplayer map and at any difficulty, and points will accumulate across matches.
Hitting the individual goal will earn players a Commendation Pack containing weapon upgrades and other consumable items for use in Mass Effect 3's multiplayer modes. Each Commendation Pack will also include one of the following N7 weapon unlocks: a Crusader Shotgun, an Eagle Pistol, a Hurricane SMG, a Valiant Sniper Rifle or a Valkyrie Assault Rifle.
