Shades of Darkness, the upcoming standalone expansion for Might & Magic Heroes 6, will be available on Windows PCs in Europe on Feb. 28, 2013, publisher Ubisoft announced today.

The expansion stars Raelag, who debuted in Might & Magic Heroes 5. It also includes a new faction called Dungeon and two new campaigns.

Shades of Darkness will be sold by itself, and it will also be available in the Might & Magic Heroes 6 Complete Edition. That package will include the game and Shades of Darkness, as well as all bonus maps and items, adventure packs and the game's soundtrack.

You can check out a new piece of concept art from the expansion above.

Update: A press release sent out later by Ubisoft confirmed that the Feb. 28 release date applies worldwide for both the Shades of Darkness expansion and the Complete Edition. We've edited the story to reflect this.
