Street Fighter X Tekken update coming Jan. 29, 2013

Street Fighter X Tekken will receive an update on Jan. 29, 2013 that will introduce changes like slower health recovery, more obvious gem effects and a host of character tweaks, Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono announced today at the Street Fighter 25th Global Tournament Series Grand Final in Northern California.

Some of the changes that the update will introduce include fights starting when the word "FIGHT" disappears from the screen, recoverable damage now being shown in red instead of yellow to make it easier to see, slower recovery damage speed for quicker-paced matches, faster throws, activated gem effects and the elimination of close-ups to speed up battles and combos.

The game's characters are also being updated so that Ken's Shippu Jinraikyaku range and damage is increased, Kazuya's EX Rising uppercut goes through projectiles, Cammy can Cannon Strike straight from a Hooligan Combination, Lili's Angel Knee Ascension can be jump canceled and many, many more.

The complete list of changes being introduced in Update 2013 are detailed in the above trailer.
